Join us this autumn for a series of community seed saving and forest school Sundays. We will meet at Ballyrafton Woods .

If you would like to volunteer , please come along and help us to save seed for our community tree nursery.. All ages welcome.

Humans have been picking acorns for millennia and it is very instinctual! None the less, we will give training on how to assess and select acorns for seeds.

It won’t be all work as members of our forest school team will be running forest school activities for children .

We are working to develop a seed saving strategy for the Nore Catchment to encourage and value the importance of planting trees grown from of local provenance seed.
